By donating blood, on one hand we save someone’s life and on the other hand, we get tremendous self-satisfaction. Many people shy away from donating blood due to misconceptions about blood donation, although it does not cause any harm but has many benefits. Therefore, we all should come forward to donate blood.

Many youth units have done inspirational work by organizing blood donation camps. There can be no other work greater than serving the victims. Blood donation is also important because it cannot be manufactured in any factory. Donated blood is useful in saving the lives of injured and seriously injured victims of accidents. Therefore, we should be ready to donate blood.

Any healthy person can donate blood. People above 18 years of age whose weight is more than 50 kg can donate blood. By donating blood at regular intervals i.e. after three months, the amount of iron in our body remains balanced and the blood donor is not likely to suffer a heart attack. Regular blood donation also reduces the risk of other diseases including cancer. The biggest benefit of donating blood is that our body weight, blood pressure, hemoglobin, malaria, HBsAg, HCV, VDRL etc. are checked.
